custom pieces
I am able to help bring your creative tattoo ideas to life through custom illustrations.
Please keep in mind making custom illustrations can cost a lot of time and energy, so it is appreciated to provide as much detail and clarity with visual examples of what you are (and are not) looking for in your tattoo.
Cover-ups
If you have an old tattoo, or scars that you want covered up I am able to make a custom cover up tattoo for you.
Cover up tattoos take more time and preparation than a normal tattoo, meaning it will cost more on average. Dealing with old tattoos/ scars means you might need to come back for an extra appointment for small adjustments to make sure the old tattoo/scar is 100% covered.
Improve/correct old tattoos
I am able to make improvements to a less than desirable tattoo that you may have. This is for the client who doesn't want to go down the cover-up or laser route. Having studied classical art I am well versed in portrait drawing, and composition so I have the skills in knowledge to fix a poorly made tattoo. I am of course limited by the restrictions of the existing tattoo but improvements can always be made.
Tattoo specialisms
My talents in tattoos lay in colour and realism. This stems from the 15 years of experience I have as a realism painter. I am also a part time delft blue student where I practice the methods of delft blue painting at the blauw tulip shop in Delft. These skills and experience means I am especially fitted to make the following styles of tattoos:

Projects I really enjoy are colour botanical tattoos, (fine line) micro colour tattoos, colour animal tattoos such as pet portraits, and birds etc. I always love to tattoo fruits, flowers and other plants. Last but not least, I also love making all kinds of delft blue tattoos! I am open to many projects so always feel free to send me a message and we can discuss further.

the artist
My name is Lydia Szubert, and I am a tattoo artist based in the beautiful city of Delft, the Netherlands, where I work at as a resident artist at SapphireInkDelft.
My specialty is in creating colour and realism tattoos. Before embarking on my tattooing journey in 2020, I honed my skills as an art teacher, designer and illustrator. I obtained a degree in classical art and a BA in graphic design, which allowed me to bring a wealth of artistic expertise to my work as a tattoo artist. I'm excited to help bring your tattoo ideas to life and create a beautiful, lasting pieces of art with you!
